Paramedics attacked while helping patient…

Liverpool police gave court-attendance notices to three women after a violent confrontation on August 28. They were called to a home on Morison Drive at Lurnea by ambulance officers who were trying to help a man suffering a mental-illness episode.

He was non-compliant with paramedics and some of his family were acting aggressively towards them.

Police arrived and defused things. As the paramedics prepared to leave, the family again became aggressive. It’s alleged one of them, a woman, spat on a paramedics. As the police went to help the paramedic the women turned on them and assaulted them.

The three were given court-attendance notices: (1) Lurnea woman, 27, for assaulting and resisting police, obstructing paramedics and affray; (2) Lurnea woman, 45, for assaulting and resisting police and assaulting, obstructing and hindering paramedics; and (3) Lurnea woman, 24, for assaulting and resisting police, obstructing paramedics and affray All three women are due in Liverpool court on October 17.
